3.2.1. Switching User

By default, you will be logged in as a guest, and will thus have ac-

cess only to OpenShare, USBShare, and unprotected user shares.

In order to access protected shares (MyShare or a protected user

share), you will have to change the login credentials using the LaCie

Network Assistant. Follow these steps:

1. Click the LaCie Network Assistant icon in the Task Bar (Win-

dows) or Menu Bar (Mac) and select Conﬁguration Window...

(Fig. 24).

2. Click on the Volumes tab and then click the authentication but-

ton.

3. When prompted, enter you username and password (Fig. 23).

By default, the admin credentials are:

Password: admin

NOTE: The admin password can be changed from the Dashboard.

See section 4.5. Dashboard: Users for information on changing the

User account information.
